How to Add an Email Account to an iPhone or iPad

To add an email account to an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Ensure that you have already created the desired email account in your hosting account’s cPanel.

  2. Tap the Settings icon on your device.

  3. Tap Apps.

  4. Tap Mail.

  5. Tap Mail Accounts.

  6. Tap Add Account.

  7. Tap Other.

  8. Tap Add Mail Account.

  9. Enter the following details:

    • Name: (The name you wish to appear in the From field of email messages that you send out)

    • Email: hello@example.com
      (replace hello@example.com with the actual email address)

    • Password: (Password for the email account)

    • Description: [imap] hello@example.com
      (replace hello@example.com with the actual email address)

  10. Tap Next in the top right.

  11. You should see the IMAP and POP tabs at the top of the screen, and IMAP should already be selected for you.

    If IMAP isn’t selected, select IMAP.

  12. Enter the following details:

    Incoming Mail Server
    • Host Name: ab123789.serversignin.com
      (replace ab123789.serversignin.com with the Account Hostname as listed on your hosting account’s Info page)

    • Username: (Full email address of the email account)

    • Password: (Already filled in. If not, enter the password of the email account)

    Outgoing Mail Server Info
    • Host Name: ab123789.serversignin.com
      (replace ab123789.serversignin.com with the Account Hostname as listed on your hosting account’s Info page)

    • Username: (Full email address of the email account)

    • Password: (Password of the email account)

  13. Tap Next in the top right.

  14. You should see Mail and Notes enabled for you. You may disable Notes if you don’t need to use that app with your account.

  15. Tap Save in the top right.

  16. Tap Mail in the top left to go back to the previous section.

  17. Scroll to the very bottom and tap Default Account.

  18. Select the account from which you would like messages created outside Mail to be sent.

  19. Tap Mail in the top left to go back to the previous section.

The email account should now be listed and ready for use on your iPhone or iPad!
