How to Fix Adobe Muse Contact Form Not Sending Email

Using Adobe Muse to publish a contact form, but it’s not sending you the email messages from your visitors?

Mail configuration: PHP mail() configured incorrectly on server. Form will not be able to send email.

The reason stated in the above error message is inaccurate, but we’ll show you how to fix it.

This easy tutorial shows you how to properly configure a contact form in Adobe Muse so that it sends you visitors’ email messages.

To configure your Adobe Muse contact form correctly:

You’ll need to have an email address on the same domain on which your Adobe Muse contact form resides.
If you’d like this email address to have its own password, ensure that you have already created the desired email account in your hosting account’s cPanel.
Alternatively, if you’d like messages to this email address to be forwarded to a different email destination instead, you may set it up as an email forwarder in your hosting account’s cPanel.
Open your website in Adobe Muse.
Open the page that contains your contact form.
Using the Selection tool, click once on any portion of the contact form. You’ll see that the entire contact form is now selected.
In the top right corner of the selected contact form, you’ll see a small blue circle with a white triangular arrow pointing right.
Click that blue circle to show the Options palette for that contact form.
In the Options palette, ensure that the Email to: field contains an actual valid email address that you picked in step 1.
For example, if you’re publishing your Adobe Muse website to the domain example.com, you would enter a valid email address that’s based on that same domain, such as info@example.com.
Publish your website using Adobe Muse and it should no longer present the incorrect error message regarding PHP mail being misconfigured.

Your Adobe Muse contact form is now properly configured to send you email messages correctly.
