Email Hosting Done Right.
Our email hosting feature allows you to set up email addresses that are based on domain names hosted in your HostM account.
For example, if you were to host the domain name example.com in your account, you could then set up email addresses such as name1@example.com and name2@example.com.
An email address can be set up as either an email account, an email forwarder, or both.
Email Accounts
An email account is an actual mailbox that has its own username and password, and stores incoming messages that take up space within the mailbox on our servers.
You may assign a maximum capacity for each email account if so desired, or you may choose not to assign a maximum limit for any of the email accounts.
Email accounts come with the Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk, and Trash folders by default. You may create additional folders as desired.
Incoming messages that are determined by our anti-spam hosting system as being likely to be junk mail are automatically stored in the Junk folder by default. Other messages are presumed legitimate and stored in the Inbox folder by default.
You may access email accounts via any modern email app such as Apple Mail, Microsoft Outlook, and Mozilla Thunderbird. Both IMAP and POP3 protocols are supported, and utilize TLS/SSL to ensure secure connections.
You may also access them via any modern web browser such as Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome, through a selection of webmail apps supplied with your HostM hosting account. Webmail utilizes HTTPS for secure connections.
Email Forwarders
An email forwarder is an email address that redirects incoming messages to one or more specified destination email addresses.
For example, you could set up sales@example.com as an email forwarder that redirected incoming messages to info@example.com.
